When I first got interested in magic there was no internet, no YouTube and no Google to search, I was only 6 years old and the secrets of magic seemed imposable to get hold of. My only option was to learn magic the classic way by becoming a magicians apprentice and learning the knowledge from books and manuscripts. My magician training took years to complete and in a way I am still learning some thirty odd years later.
Today if you search “learn magic” you will be undated with tens of thousands of results mostly made up of people showing how tricks are done. There is a danger in learning magic this way as knowing how a trick works, is very different from being a true master of magic.
Often the people exposing the magic secrets have little understanding of the correct handling of the effect and they pass on bad advice, paying no attention at all to the presentation of good magic. This exposure culture has flooded the internet with poor quality tricks, and as my magic teacher said to me “dogs do tricks, magicians do magic”.

About the magic lessons
Each lesson teaches a trick with a slight, sleight is a word for a secret move and this is where the term sleight of hand comes from. You will learn card tricks that professional magicians use and you will be able to do them well and amaze your friends. I started learning magic at the age of 6 so children are warmly welcomed however there are some effects that you need to be 18 or older to perform as they use items such as a knife in the presentation. The age restricted effects are clearly marked not suitable for Children.
